Hiking Tights : Padded
This low cut Lycra fine-knit tight gives both the sailor excellent knee and butt protection . The double butt goes all the way down the back side of the thigh, ending just before the knee on most people. The padded knees are not bulky but add the perfect layer of protections for tacking, down wind work and gybing, a 470’s skipper’s dream. You get chafe protection where you need it , UV protection ,and excellent breatheablitity. An excellent weapon for general sailing as well.

The 6mm neoprene on the lower back half of this garment will protect your butt, calves, and back-of-the-knee tendons from the bite of the sharp gunwhale.
The waterproof intergrity of this unique Hydroknit is of course compromised at the seams when we sew.
Dont buy this garment if you need to keep dry, but do know that the unique qualities of this fabric will keep you comfortable when wet.

These great farmer johns are 99.2% UV protective and have great breathablility. The Sun Blocking qualities are a function of the tight knit lycra/spandex constructiion and not an application, which means it wont wash out. They can also be used as a base layer 'skin'. Many of our farmer johns in concert with a sunblocker shirt are used off the boat and on the reef for both sun protection and jelly fish and coral rubs.
